Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to address climate change, while also creating good local jobs, reducing other harmful pollution and increasing the resiliency of our electric grid.  It is a critical piece of New York’s clean energy, climate friendly future. In addition to simple steps that you can take at home to limit your energy usage (such as sealing air leaks, installing insulation and adjusting your thermostat), New Yorkers for Clean Power encourages everyone to first sign up for a home energy audit that will evaluate where your home or business is losing energy and what can be done to make it more efficient. Home energy audits are FREE (or relatively low-cost with help from state incentive programs) for most New York State residents.
